Jones Academy -

It was such an inspiring day to watch two amazing Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma educators participate in the 2023 Prospective Teacher Academy at SOSU. Mrs. Heather Ellis, Hugo Head Start Teacher and Mrs. Kathy Holeman, teacher at Jones Academy led a breakout session on diversity in the classrooom and shared their amazing stories of why they chose education as a career path. They discussed nuggets of wisdom they’ve learned along the way in their careers, which combined span 30+ years. They also had lunch with the students and answered any questions that they had. These ladies shined today by giving back to our future educators and it was very evident by the students in the room that the future is bright!
